A hamster needs basic everyday needs, they are very inexpensive and easy to care for if looked after correctly.
Basic Care: Syrian hamsters must live on their own, if put with another hamster, they will fight to the death. Give your hamster fresh food Give fresh water Brush their fur everyday(depending on long or short hair) Let them exercise for 20-30mins Handle him/her, so they don't become aggressive. Their cage must be cleaned once a week
Housing: The cage you choose for your hamster is a very important decision, as it needs to be big enough and safe for your hamster. There are a variety of cages available in pet shops and online, though some people choose to make their own out of various materials such as storage bins or shelving units.
Grooming: Hamsters groom themselves very often in the day. But if your hamster is long haired, then you should brush the fur daily to prevent knots. If your hamster is short haired then brush his/her fur once every 2/3 days. You must Never Bathe your hamster, Ever. They groom and clean themselves and do not need to be washed. But there is the sand bath. Bathing sand can be found in any good pet store. But never use bathing dust as it causes respiration problems.
Food and Water: You should feed your hamster a mix of dry food, (which you can get from any good supermarket) and fresh fruit and vegetables. Clickheretocheck for safe andunsafe foods
